Trash haulers have benefited from these conditions by combining their trash hauling and recycling operations.

Recycling centers are connected both to the clients to whom they sell end products and to those from whom they collect refuse; thus, the company gets paid twice for the same trash, once for hauling the waste and once for selling the usable material. Industry profits have increased more than tenfold during this period. As the industry has become more competitive, some haulers have chosen to rebate a portion of this money to their clients in the hopes of ensuring their loyalty.   1

From this statement, how can one infer that the price is, "sometimes set by the weight of the product"? Please help!

A "Ton" is a unit of weight. We are told that "the price per Ton of waste paper has quadrupled in the past year." Thus, we know that the price per unit weight was known (as opposed to, say, price per unit volume). So, we can infer that the price was sometimes set by unit weight.

In other words, we know that price of waste paper has been measured by weight.

Would you please correct the OA you've posted for Q1 and Q2? They seem to have reversed. Q1 should have been A and Q2 should have been E, while it is the other way round now.

Reading the above post of GmatNinjaTwo, it is clear that OA of Q2 is E whereas Q1's A option is not only the most voted option but also the logically correct.
But, ironically I don't see any post noting this difference in the OAs. This left the room for me to think that the OAs might have got reversed by mistake.

Is there OE for this?
Q2- The passage mentions Hypergrowth, Increased competition, but no where can we infer the future of these companies. So E seems reasonable choice, right? Similarly, for Q3 and Q4, what's the OE?

Q1 speaks about haulers and not recyclers. So we can say it's the regulation which helped. But what about the other 3 questions?
