hi friends,
I recently scored 106 in my toefl exam. R-27, L-27, S-26, W-26. I am planning to apply for colleges like chicago booth, kellogg and so on. Could anyone guide me by explaining whether this is a good score to apply for admissions or should i retake the exam?

Also, in case of doubts it's better to check college websites for minimum TOEFL score requirements.

From HBS: The MBA Admissions Board discourages any candidate with a TOEFL score lower than 109 on the iBT, an IELTS score lower than 7.5, or a PTE score lower than 75 from applying.


Booth says its TOEFL requirement is 104 which is less than what you have, but I would recommend upping it. Which language was your undergrad in?

TOEFL score requirements for various schools

The average score of applicants in many schools is about 109-110. I think your score is good, but improving it wouldn't hurt.

My undergrad was in English. Moreover i am not aiming for Harvard. Is minimum requirement of toefl enough for selection committee or do they pool the students according to toefl scores also?(like they do for gmat on percentile basis).
