Hi all,
I have an admit from Cambridge for the 2022 MBA intake. Due to some personal reasons, I wish to return to India after the MBA. An important consideration is that I haven't received any scholarship/ bursary from the school. I wanted to understand the following:
1. Will the MBA help me get access to opportunities similar to Tier-1 B-schools in India? or rephrasing will an MBA from Cambridge be seen as a disadvantage in India?
2. What kind of roles can one target in India after the Cambridge MBA?
3. By how many times will the time to recover the cost in India increase as compared to if recovering the cost in UK?

1) Depends on which sector you want to go. For example, if you get a job in BIG4 or Accenture or Amazon or MBB or Microsoft, you can request for transfer to India after working in UK for some time as these companies have global opportunities and offices in every country.
2) You can get consulting and product management roles fairly common in India. Also, operations, ecommerce, FMCG are very common in India.
3) The average base salary as per Judge MBA employment report is 67000 GBP, and the average salary you can get in India after MBA is around 25-35 Lakhs. Now you can calculate.
Further, Oxford Cambridge has a very good reputation in India. I think you can never go wrong with either.
Further, if India is your final location, you can try IIMs or ISB as their campus placement is really good in India.
