Hi. Congrats on your admits! Sorry I missed your post over the weekend. Are usually take a little break from online activity for a couple days on the weekends which means I miss all the posts.

Sorry to hear about the last visa debacle. I know another entrepreneur whose visa was not extended during a leave to their home country. It was a very messy wind down of operations. Selling the car, shipping their possessions etc. A true nightmare. Hopefully your situation was better and hopefully it will only be better under the current administration.

First of all, what are you going to do while attending the EMBA? Do you have a job lined up in London or are you planning to continue your consulting work?

Second, Kellogg is the best business school for Product Management and Tech PM. They are the only school that gets product management and has two different tracks. One is for product management and one is for product marketing. Those two are different jobs in the tech world and none of the other business schools really get it. At least not yet. Though as a caveat, I don’t really know anything about the Masters degree you outlined and how closely it is relates to the Kellogg bra d. I couldn’t find the class profile for it.... What is the average age of the class? Do you know?

One big positive aspect of the northwestern MPD is the STEM designation which would give you pretty much an automatic three-year work visa. It’s more complicated than that bad it’s a three work visa with minor hoops to jump through.

These are my initial thoughts. Let me know if you have the answer to these two questions.

Thank you very much bb for your expert reply.

1- Oxford emba: i will do consulting work mostly in remote, payment will be 1/3. but still I will have a job

2. Northewestern MPD : talked with some of alum in linkedin and blind , did not get any positive vibe of the course
Copying their comment As-Is :

a) I had to make a similar choice a decade back, between a Kellogg MBA and NWs MPD program. My belief is that you will always need to explain to people what the NPD program is all about. It also has a weak curriculum like you mentioned. A kellogg MBA is highly ranked and needs no explanation. I chose to pursue an MBA and do not regret it.

b) drop out after 1 semester of MPD, currciulum is a waste, get ready for virtual class.

c) Just to be clear, that Northwestern degree is a vanity degree aimed at helping firms retain and motivate plateaued product leaders.

as u said, Visa is really an "issue "
my heart says " Northwestern" as i am more inclined to US
my current circumstances says " Oxford" as my wife love uk and her job is a back up for us.

please give me your final thoughts, dont want to do no more mistakes in my life .

Missed some part of your query :

"I couldn’t find the class profile for it.... What is the average age of the class? Do you know?"

---- kellogg is not related to this, its more mccormick school of engineering and segal design school course

Avg age : from linkedin , from their work experience, all are mid to late 30s

Thank you
