Hello.
I did my undergrad in Mechanical Engineering and graduated with 70%. My problem is how do I convert 70% to an equivalent GPA. If I just convert it as below : (70/100)*4 it gives only 2.8. Even if I divide my percentage with the highest in my batch (70/91)*4 it gives only 3. However this does not seem like a fair conversion to me as from what I understand a GPA of 3 or below is not a very good one whereas I am sure that 70% at Anna University would fall in the 80th percentile.
Can someone please clear this for me?
