Well i just bought the OG19 and started with the diagnostic test. But what i realized really shocked me. I answered 5questions in 30mins which is way too long and got only 2right! ! ! I am really upset. I wasn't bad at math. But what i felt is tht my base is not good. I have MGMAT 5th edition in pdf form. My question is if i study the detailed descriptions of math basics in mgmat and the OG will it help me? N obviously i want to score good in gmat, 720+ i knw in my current situation it may sounds funny but i need your suggestions! Will mgmat guid book be enough to build a strong basic? Plz help

MGMAT will definitely help. You might also want to get MGMAT Foundations of GMAT math. Study consistently, and your score will go up.

Welcome to GMATClub!
In addition to whatever Akela has already said with regards to preparing for GMAT Quant,
which IMO is more a test of logic than a core test for Math. If you have a few grey areas
after preparing you might want to use the GMATClub Quant Mega-Thread
Whenever you practice questions, try to understand if you are able to apply the learning to
the problems. Every time you are not able to solve a question go through the thread(where
the question has been discussed) and go through the various methods that have been used
to solve the problems. In my experience, you will come across a few methods that will help
you save some time. Try and adapt these methods while you solve questions during practice.
Work on maintaining an error log and go through the mistakes you make from time to time.
This retrospection will definitely help you improve your scores.
These are a few links which I think you might be able to use in order to improve your GMAT
Quant Score.

2. DS Directory by Topic and Difficulty
3. Q44 -> Q50
4. Timing strategies
The first two links are for practice and the third and fourth link help during the last leg of your
preparation to up your score.
