Hi dkumar2012,

Most SCs involve 2-4 grammar rules apiece, so if you're looking to practice specific grammar rules individually, then you might want to use a resources other than the OG.

How long have you been studying? What resources have you been using so far?

Hello Rich, Thank you fr your reply. I have been studying for almost two months now, i did OG before my first GMAT-Prep in which i scored 590(Q47, V25)

Now i am going toward SC with some strategic approach. as i don't remember the answer the answers of OG questions i want to solve them again and test my progress. and i found the list of Tpic wise breakup of questions. It is given in MGMAT SC Book as Last section of it. Thanks

Hi dkumar2012,

When you took this CAT, how did you perform on the Verbal section overall? I ask because a V25 means that you have some work to do in other areas besides SC.

1) How did you perform in CR and RC?
2) Did you have to rush just to finish the Verbal section (and guess on a bunch of questions)? Did you leave any questions unanswered?
3) How many questions did you 'narrow it down to 2 choices and then "guess"?'

Hi,
Well, I spent too much time on SC questions and because of this reason I had to ripest through rest of the section. For my first two RCs out of 7 questions 5 were right, CR was about 70% right but I got most of SCs wrong even after spending time on them. Next 2 RCs I had to rush through and guessed the answered because I was left with 10 min for 15 questions.
I know I managed time pretty badly but and wasn't able to answer/even see the last 1 question.

In CR I was able to narrow two questions to 2 choices but couldn't get them right.

Hi dkumar2012,

I'd like to see some of this data, if it's possible. Can you list out the first 20 Verbal questions from your last CAT, the type of question (SC, RC or CR) and how much time you spent on each? This information should help to define the problems you're facing with the Verbal section. Once we define the *real* issues, then we can work to fix them all.

Hi Rich,

On first ten questions i spent about 25 minutes, as two RC's were there and it took me about 10 minutes per RC.
then it took me 20 minutes for next 10, again one long RC was there and then i had 30 minutes for next 21 and i had to rush through rest of the part.
