Since AP and BD are two chords which intersect, we know that:
AP*PC=BP*PD
Now lets take a look at the statements,
Statement 1: It gives us the value of AP and we already know the value of PD/PC. Using this information we can easily solve for the value of AP.
Statement 2: This is not sufficient to come to an answer as there is no measure of length mentioned in the information, only a ratio in the original question.
Therefore, the answer should be A.

PAB and PCD will be similar triangles and we have the ratio of sides in one the triangles that would be same for the second triangles as well so we need only AP to find out BP
Statement 1: SUFFICIENT
Statement 2: NOT SUFFICIENT
Answer: option A
