x=3, y=2 => x/y=1.5, x/(y+1)=1 => x/y is greater
x=3, y=-2 => x/y=-1.5, x/(y+1)=-3 => x/y is greater
x=-2,y=-3 => x/y=-0.67, x/(y+1)=-1 => x/y is greater

When x=-2,y=-3, then x/y=0.67 and x/y+1 = 1 and hence x/y+1 > x/y. So condition fails here and the ans shud be E.

= (xy + x - xy)/y(y+1)

= x/y(y+1)

x != 0, so let x = -1, y = 1

So, x/y(y+1) = -1/2 < 0

x = 1, y = 1

So, x/y(y+1) = 1/2 > 0

let x = 0, y = any value < 0 (except -1)

Both the values are equal

x = 1, y = -2

So, x/y(y+1) = 1/(-2 * -1) = 1/2

x = -1, y = -2

So, x/y(y+1) = -1/(-2 * -1) = -1/2
