Guys, does anybody know a good place to study combination? I keep getting a few wrong among the 700+ questions.

Anything for quant ? (Beginners)
Study material? Or practice questions?

Both. To be more specific from *basics*
Cant help much in regards to study material, I had a good grasp of quant beforehand. For practice, start off with the official guide. Once you are done with the easy questions off there use gmatclub to find questions below 605 for quant. Once you have a pretty good grasp of it (9/10 correct), move onto medium difficulty and so on. If you can dedicate 3hrs a day to it, you should not face a challenge. It is pretty easy to score high in quant( it can also be seen from the high mean scores for quant on mocks)

Can anyone suggest a self study structure and resources that are most useful?
Hi eshika23, for an overview of the prep process, lots of insights, and directions to useful resources, please refer to this post by bb: gmat-study-plan-217827.html

If you’d like a week-by-week plan that you can follow, take a look at GMAT Ninja’s 13-week study plan: gmat-ninja-13-week-study-plan-2024-25-edition-week-1-start-here-437774.html

Also any resource that can help me up my verbal and data insights?
For Verbal, depends on your preferred learning mode - if you’d like books, the Manhattan RC and CR guides and PowerScore bibles are both excellent. If you’d like videos, then most people recommend GMAT Ninja’s CR and RC playlists on Youtube.

For DI, again GMAT Ninja has a Youtube playlist that covers all 5 DI question types. Manhattan Prep’s All the Quant + DI book also has one chapter for each DI question type.

For these two sections - Verbal and DI, stick with official questions for practice.

Hi daraius, I think you can take a look at Bunuel’s Ultimate Guide for Quant: ultimate-gmat-quantitative-preparation-guide-244512.html

Scroll down to No.21. There will be a huge collection of previous posts on Combinatorics, as well as practice questions.

Yup, if you have the time get the foundational theories right. The collection in Bunuel’s post is HUGE, almost too much for average test takers. But it’s excellent if you are aiming for high scores in Quant.

Depends on your starting point I guess...

For a shorter coverage on Combinatorics, you can also see if GMAT Club Math book, or any edition of Manhattan Prep’s math guide suits you.

I think you can probably find an old edition on the Internet. But not here in this forum.
