C:D = 11:15 and D:H=3:11. That means C:D:H = 11:15:55. Lets say n is the common factor, then 11n+15n+55n=81n=T.
Statement 1 says T<300
81n<300
n<3.something
n can only be an integer because we are talking about animals(which can only be integers), so valid n values are 1,2 and 3.
No definitive answer. Insufficient.
n^1/2 does not have to be an integer

knight_wrecker
T=81x, and x could be 1,2,3 for t<300 i.e.(T =81,162,243 and all<300),so no conclusive value for sq rt. T. Hence insufficient.
T is an integer so T^1/2 should be an integer... but isn’t why?

I feel like I'm regressing instead of progressing. Quant questions are just getting harder and harder, my average time per Q is going up and I feel stuck more often.

Keep the eyes on the prize - make sure you can handle easy and medium questions and check those boxes. Hard questions - it is possible to spend eternity with them, so pick your battles. the key aspect is to make sure you can cover all the medium and easy ones and then any mistake you make, don't just move on but make sure you review it, and take actions to not make it again. Repeating mistakes should be a major offense.

There are so many questions that it is possible to spend years solving them and never quite feel you are getting ahead. I would say when you get that feeling that you have plateaued, I would suggest taking the GMAT then (if your score is close to your target). If it is not close to your target, you need to go to the next level so to speak, which mans whatever you have been doing served its purpose and the low-hanging fruit have been harvested, and the next level will require more work while offering fewer gains, and so on and so on as you climb the score pyramid.

Please help me in this question , the answer is south, north
what you need to see is sum for each entry point - North has 3 bars so does south so does west. But if you see south’s 3 bars total is more - so first blank is south. Now within south the bar for north is highest - so 2nd blank’s answer is north

Hey BB, so what level would you consider as the hard level questions? Because in quant I’m able to solve 655-705 level and maybe a few 705-805 level but 805+ I barely almost get any questions correct. And when I feel I’m not getting those it feels like I don’t know enough... Should I cap the level at 655-705 level and practice within that set of questions?

I think you mean 755+ instead of 805+ 😅

Hi, I’m out of questions from the official MBA guides. Which resource would be best to practice permutations/combination and probability?

Please help me out in it’s approach as well..
This is a tricky one but let me try to explain this to you - first trick is to read the question stem t-2 and t+2 = which means the x axis is showing us a mid point of the range - eg if the bar in axis is showing 4 - the bar is effectively for range t-2 and t+2 => the bar is looking at high temp in the range 2<x<6 => when 4 is mentioned. Second thing that you need to catch is the negative and positive sides from 0 - as per definition for less than seasonal - we should only look at left side of the graph - so right side is not in your scope both blanks speak about left. If you are with me till here now things will be easy

4 less than seasonal means - I need range of high temp in bars flagged as -8 and- 12. I cannot add the -4 bar because effectively the bar is for range -4-2<x<-4+2 =.> -6 < high temp < -2 and the bar 8 would be -8-2 < x< -8 +2 => -10< high temp <-6 see in the first case -3 will also be added which will extrapolate answer

thus I will add only 2 bars and get 14/100 = .14 - I hope it helps

Apply same logic to the second blank
   1  ...  531   532   533   534   535  ...  678
