The B10 firms, the top ten brokerage firms in the country of Vickersden, are renowned for their accuracy in predicting market trends. In general, when the ratio of sales to purchases made by these firms falls below 1 to 3 for a particular company, a rise in stock prices of that company is impending. Recently, although stock prices of JRB Railworks have been stable, the B10 firms have bought seven times as many stocks in it as they have sold.

The facts above best support which of the following predictions?

A. The price of JRB Railworks's stocks will start rising soon.
B. Stock bought by the B10 firms in JRB Railworks will soon be sold.
C. The disparity between the purchase and sale of JRB Railworks's stocks will continue to grow.
D. The price of JRB Railworks's stocks will remain stable but fluctuate slightly more.
E. The majority of stock in JRB Railworks will soon be owned by the B10 firms.

As the lobbying activities of government contractors grow less regulated, the more contractors there are who resort to lobbying officials directly. Generally, government contractors who lobby to receive a particular project usually charge less for that project than those who do not lobby officials directly. Thus, if any of the government’s current restrictions are removed, such as the ones limiting campaign contributions to a certain limit, overall expenditure on government contractors will be significantly lower than if the state retains its current restrictions.

Which of the following, if true, would most seriously weaken the argument concerning overall expenditure on government contractors?

A. Recently, some other government restrictions that had limited the lobbying activities of government contractors were removed by the state.
B. It is unlikely that the government will remove all of the restrictions that apply solely to lobbying activities of government contractors.
C. Most government contractors who lobby officials directly to receive a project do not charge less for that project.
D. Most government contractors who currently limit campaign contributions to a certain limit would do so even if such a restriction were not in place.
E. Government contractors who do not lobby officials directly provide services of the same quality as those provided by the contractors who do lobby officials directly.
