Since -2 is a solution, you can plug -2 in the equation to get the value of n=3, then you’ll get a quadratic equation.
Upon solving the quadratic equation you’ll get the other root of x as 20.
So x*n = 20*3=60

Is the answer- 14 to this question?

Hey guys! Is there any way of solving the following question without counting all the possible outcomes? Q: Stephanie rolls three standard dice. What is the probability that the product of the three numbers she rolled is not a multiple of 8?

A) 2/3
B) 1/3

S1 : The value of a can be +ve or -ve ; the value of b is +ve. Not sufficient.

S2 : The value of a is -ve ; the value of b can be +ve or -ve. Not sufficient.

Combined: a = -ve & b = +ve. Sufficient.
