India ranks fifth in the world production of coffee. Popular thought has long associated India with tea and especially with masala chai, but clearly, we need to recognize India as one of the great coffee-drinking nations as well.

This argument is flawed primarily because the author

A. fails to distinguish between coffee production and coffee consumption

B. does not supply information about all beverages people drink in India

C. depends on popular thought rather than on documented research findings

D. does not specify the exact quantity of coffee produced by any nation

E. makes no references to the reputed health benefits of coffee

Commensalism is any relationship between two living things in which one benefits and the other is neither helped nor harmed. Oxpecker birds are commensal species that flock with the large mammals of the African Savannah. They feed on ticks, fleas, and flies that are attracted to the mammals' fur.

Which of the following, if true, can most reasonably be inferred from the statements above?

(A) Oxpecker birds are neither helped nor harmed by the large mammals of the African Savannah.

(B) Ticks, fleas, and flies are commensal species in their relationship with both oxpecker birds and the large mammals of the African Savannah.

(C) No species exist in a commensal relationship with oxpecker birds except for large mammals of the African Savannah.

(D) In commensal relationships, the smaller of the species in the relationship usually benefits while the larger is neither helped nor harmed.

(E) Preying on small creatures drawn to the fur of the large mammals of the African Savannah does not significantly affect those mammals.

Machine J runs at a constant rate and produces a lot consisting of 300 bottles in 4 hours. How much less time would it take to produce the lot of cans if both machines J and P were run simultaneously?

(1) It takes machine J twice as long to produce the lot of cans as it takes machines J and P running simultaneously to produce the lot.
(2) Machines J and P both started at 6 a.m.

A marketing survey found that all participants had subscriptions to a magazine, a newspaper, or a book club. Of the participants, 30% subscribed to a magazine, 50% subscribed to a newspaper, and 20% subscribed to a book club. How many people subscribed to two or more publication types?

(1) Of the 100 people surveyed, everyone that subscribed to a book club also subscribed to a newspaper.
(2) Of the 100 people surveyed, anyone who subscribed to a magazine didn't subscribe to any other publication type.

Hi. This question looks very much like this one: https://gmatclub.com/forum/the-couple-d ... l#p3372029

It seems the question is odd however, as it asks Where did they go instead of posing it as a yes/no statement. Usually the DS questions will have a yes/no type of statements rather than "where" type of a question, so the question may be flawed.... what's the source of this one? (I hope it is not the OG )
