Hi all
I am applying for R2. I did not do very well on quants and have not studied quants on 10 years.To strengthen my application, I plan to take online courses in finance, accounting, statistics and marketing. I have the following questions:
1. Are mba math courses good and legitmate?
2. Or should I go for courses from Harvard publishing?
UC Berkeley extension courses are too expensive for me.
3. How is Essential prep collection from official website form gmat?
PLease can someone throw some light on it and guide me what courses to take and from where? I have two months before R2 and i really want to strengthen my application.

Generally you won't need those but in your case it may make sense. It really depends how horrible your Quant is (e.g. if you were a liberal arts major and had a 2.0 in quant, and 40 in GMAT quant, then maybe yes).
I think taking some intro classes, will definitely help you to feel better once you are in the MBA program; It may signal your commitment to the admissions team... it is not always clear how much weight it has and it is only a counter-measure (meaning it covers a weakness rather than positions you as a strong applicant). I think it would help if you can take classes from the same school you are applying to (e.g. if you are applying to Haas, then you would take Berkeley) or another prominent name definitely will help your resume and your position compared to other folks.
As to the OG essential prep collection, it won't help with admissions; only with bringing you up to a certain level after you have been admitted and if you are concerned about your general background in terms of accounting, finance, etc.
