Marty,

Do you think this problem is a little vague? How do we know if they meant just one copy of the daily edition (My thought) or an entire stack?

Thanks!!!
We know that they print "the daily edition."

I see what you mean. In a way, that's a little vague.

Given what statement (1) says, I guess we can presume that "the daily edition" means thousands of papers, but that meaning isn't 100% clearly conveyed.

Question: Number of hours to print the work at combined rate = ?

We need the magnitude of work and combined rate to answer this question

Statement 1: Yesterday, Press A printed newspapers at a rate of 4,000 newspapers per hour.

We have rate of A but not Rate of B hence
NOT SUFFICIENT

Statement 2: Yesterday, Press B printed newspapers at 75% the rate that Press A printed.

We have relation between rate of A but not Rate of B hence
NOT SUFFICIENT

Combining the statements

We have rate of A and with relation of rates of A and B we also have rate of B
Hence, we have combined rate
But we still do NOT have the amount of work to be done by the two press hence
NOT SUFFICIENT

Answer: Option E

Printing presses, Press A and Press B, are used to print the daily edition of a certain newspaper. Working together at their individual constant rates, how many hours did it take the 2 presses to print the daily edition of the newspaper yesterday?

(1) Yesterday, Press A printed newspapers at a rate of 4,000 newspapers per hour.

(2) Yesterday, Press B printed newspapers at 75% the rate that Press A printed.
