That's a terrific set of stories even though they did not take off as you had hoped. There is a true and interesting narrative to be told from your experiences as a serial entrepreneur.

As I am sure you know, a huge component of the MBA application are the essays which capture both your past experience and career goals. I might suggest a set of slightly different short term and long-term goals in your case. For example, rather than pick up on a past (failed) startup, focus on taking the learnings about why things failed (as you have laid out) and how you will use your experience to find more success as a seasoned, post-MBA entrepreneur. You definitely an non-traditional story, so it will take some smart articulation for it to sell to the admissions committee.

Please reach out when you are ready to turn your attention to your applications, which believe it or not starts in the spring. Our team and I will be available to assess your background in more depth and discuss a plan of action for your 2021 applications for Fall 2022 matriculation in a free consultation. We also offer something called an Advanced Planning Package, which is basically one-on-one mentorship with one of our consultants before the applications are released. It's particularly helpful for those who are looking at getting a headstart on round one with the hopes of securing scholarship money.

Side note: I'm not sure why you feel compelled to take the GMAT when you have a solid GRE score. Turn your attention to beefing up your weaknesses and putting together excellent essays.

Let's chat!

Seth
