Your background as a medical professional is certainly an advantage in the admissions process, but your goals strategy would need strategizing. For example, you must clearly elaborate why you want to go into healthcare devices or nonprofits if you have previously chosen a career in dental surgery. Why do you even need an MBA for these domains?
To show that you are a fit for your target Schools, you need to make a connection between the cases/projects you have worked on to provide insight into the area of the healthcare industry that interests you the most (after the MBA). How would your experience and knowledge of the issues in the (dental) industry make you a valuable resource for the MBA program and for your future employment (in a business or impact oriented role)? This narrative will carry significant weight in the admissions process.
