hey Guys, Would you take a look in my profile?
Brazilian Male (latin).
26 years old.
1) Brief description of your full-time work experience.
I am working (until now) for 2,5 years in Whirpool Brazil (compressor unit). I Got hired because of a management trainee program (15.000 candidates/ 9 Selected), got promoted 2 times since them (average of one promotion per year).
Today I am a buyer who manage several Milion dolars in different categories on direct material, with the main objective of providing the best solution of components with the best cost within the chain of direct materials.
In this section of Whirpool Procurement is frequently "responsible" for 30% of the company total margin.
My perfomance has been consistently over the top 10% , and since the start I was allocated in this area (very different positions and responsabilities).
Altrough I don´t have an officialy leadership position, as a negotiator I have to informally manage 5 people in their activities, coordinating their actions with the comercial strategy that I design (don´t if this is worth it to mention) .
2) GMAT.
680 (Q:48, V:35, AWA: 4 , IR:5)
3) College info.
In Brazil we don´t have GPA, but my average grade was 8 out of 10. I am graduated in Business administration in one of the most respected business schools in Brazil.
5) Important certifications/ Accomplish
As I trainee I attended to the most important leadership trainning program in Brazil and got recognized as the most commited leader in the group.
6) Your target programs.
Stanford/ Wharton/UCLA/Columbia/Darden
7) When you plan to apply?
R2 this year.
8) Your post-MBA goal.
Move to a big investment bank, stay in USA for 1-2 years and come back to Brazil to run an operation in a respected investment Bank ( I would like to change my focus area since I have done some internship programs in finacial marketing and I strongly feel it is closer to my profile).
