Hi there!
Thanks for sharing.. so as you self-described, your profile is in the more unorthodox category for multiple reasons.... and that does mean more explaining to do on your end
, but that's not impossible to do.... however the very top 'ranked' programs may be difficult to you, so I encourage you to explore a variety of options.... different countries, length of program, maybe look at some part-time or EMBA (some do not have strict work experience requirements so you have to look around) if interested too as admissions is more reasonable, the cohort is more similar in age to you, and you could plan the program flexibly around work (IF that is an option). You may want to check out the joint option between CBS/LBS/HKUST for experienced managers if appealing too (
https://www.emba-global.com/). Also look at options like Imperial or CASS in the UK, or Rotterdam, Bocconi, maybe ESADE or IE. Check out options in Singapore and other parts of Asia plus possibly Australia.... there are a lot of variables in terms of program length, class sizes, geographical setting, etc that may matter to you. All that said, getting a 2nd MBA can be challenging, as you do need to really convince the readers that you need this degree more than a similar applicant who does not have an MBA does... so focus on why this degree is different and how it will help you. The 3 roles in the 5 years does sound on the higher side so explaining why you left each role will be important. In terms of this current situation, I'm not clear on whether you're working still or teaching and if it's part or full time, but you can certainly be honest about having a baby (congrats!) and life changes recently. Good luck to you in the process!
