Hi There - Looking for some input on my application:
I'm currently an implementation consultant for a small financial software company (since Jan). Previously an analyst for a large consulting firm (2.5 years), but left to gain better exposure to business management at a smaller company. I was a supervisor/team lead at previous firm, but now I report directly to the VP along with the other consultants at our small company.
GMAT: 770 (Q50, V46, IR8, AWA 6.0)
3.8 GPA from top public university with a strong business program - business major
Extra-Curriculars: Aerial Acrobatics - Train vigorously and will be partnering with local circus program to teach at-risk youth circus arts. Also avid outdoorswoman (hike, ski, climb)
No industry certifications. Enrolled in Social Circus Instructor program. Held 2 different VP positions with Delta Sigma Pi while in school.
Dream School: Stanford GSB; considering HBS, Haas, Anderson, and Foster for geography and social innovation programs.
Applying R1 2015-16
Post-MBA Ambitions: Career in social entrepreneurship/innovation. Perhaps work immediately for a larger company to improve social outreach then aim to start my own business. Interest stems from CSR course taken while studying abroad in Denmark and from Indian Immersion program with a focus on microfinance initiatives.
I'm American, Female, living in the PNW. I will be 26 upon matriculation. I would love any advice or thoughts for how to shape my application!
