That's great -- impressive that you've got several promotions and 70+ people is a lot! I'm glad you've got some extracurricular involvement too. So that all sounds great, and I think the missing piece is just GMAT! If you can get your target score then I think a school like INSEAD is in reach. I think McGill is in reach too, probably even with your current stats.

Good luck!

Dear Kate,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Well I am planning to have a second attempt on GMAT and hope of getting something around 700. Lets see what happens.

Further as far as my profile is concerned, I have been promoted 4 times in 6 years and I have been in various leadership roles, currently I am leading operations department with almost 40 people, previously I have managed around 70 people for more than 2 years and successfully implemented various technical projects.

Further, I co-founded and remained president of a chess society during my B.Sc, I was also the president of Graduate students society during my MS. I am currently member of world chess federation, Pakistan chess federation and numerous professional engineering organizations.

Please suggest me school which 'll be competitive as per my profile. I am highly interested in Mcgill and Insead.

Hi Haseeb,
Thanks for reaching out! Your academic background is great, very strong GPA. I would love to see your GMAT (especially your Verbal score) a little higher. That will help a lot, especially at a top school like INSEAD, and at some of the other schools where the average is in the higher 600s I believe. Is retaking possible?

Otherwise, it's hard for me to evaluate the details of your profile...6 years experience is a good amount of time -- have you been promoted? leadership roles? what accomplishments? The exposure to different countries is great.

Also what extracurricular activities are you currently involved with? any leadership roles there? any volunteer / community focused work?

Feel free to provide more info!
Best,
Kate

Dear Kate,
Thanks for your time and sincere advice. If I apply with current stats to Mcgill, can you throw some light on the amount of scholarship I may get.?

Regards,

That is a really hard question...difficult to predict as every school is different in their scholarship process and that is separate from the admission process. Check with the school directly, they may be able to tell you the average amount to give you some ballpark. And keep in mind that a higher GMAT can help with your chances of getting a scholarship too.
