Thank you for sharing your profile. Your profile looks good on the surface. Starting with the stats, your undergrad GPA is good, and you have a solid GMAT score. Your CFA and other certifications are evidence of your academic merit. So, this part is pretty sorted. Your professional experience appears to be good. You must present it in such a way that it appears progressive. You must include examples of times when you outperformed your peers in the past. Or you can showcase any scenario where you handled a leadership role in a very effective way. Talking about your ECs, they are well and good. Your mentorship highlights the values of generosity and contribution to society. You might be interested in reading an article about PE/VC industry which will provide you with some insights. On the surface, you have a decent profile and have a shot at the b-schools you have chosen if you present an effective application. Thanks for sharing and congrats on the great GMAT score. From what you have shared, your profile looks strong. That said, while consulting a great industry for gaining strong pre-MBA experience and exposure, it is also a competitive field with many MBA applicants.
Keeping this in mind, you will really want to highlight multiple aspects of your profile. While this does not mean you should provide a laundry list of details, discussing one or two unique skills, hobbies, extracurricular leadership roles, volunteer work or language skills will paint a clearer picture for admissions committee members of who you are and what unique value you can add to their next class. It sounds like you have some valuable extracurriculars to showcase.
In terms of transitioning from management consulting to PE / investment management, your career path should make sense to the reader and allow you to leverage the skills you will develop during your MBA and throughout your early post-MBA career. While going from consulting to PE is possible, it is not the easiest (we can discuss this more if you'd like to reach out to [email protected]).
