Hi there, mjaininc, I hope this response finds you well and safe.
I think you are smart to look beyond statistics for the MBA admissions process -- you're 100% right that a successful admission comes down to much more than a GMAT score. I think you also have to consider that you face a lot of competition from fellow applicants from India with super high scores, so sometimes your own category may have stiffer competition than the overall averages. I think you look fairly well positioned, though, with a super high GPA/valedictorian award in undergrad, an econ degree from well-respected LSE, international experience, and a track record of promotions. I also like how you've sat in on classes by Rotman faculty, and hopefully can speak to the specifics of what impressed you. Finally, I like your clear motivations, though I'd focus on what you want to do/create as opposed to the personal benefits of easier visa, etc. My advice is to take advantage of online webinars and other opportunities to connect with Rotman, network as much a possible in this unusual time (virtually?), and really demonstrate the fit you mention and how it will get you where you're going. All schools too will particularly seek out impact and leadership, so make sure to emphasize these qualities in your resume and essays. Finally, look for appropriate ways to let your personality shine...it can help you stand out and make a connection with the people reading your application.
Best of luck!
Warmly,
