Hello,
I am planning to submit my application in R1, but I struggling to figure out how competitive my application is, so your review could be very helpful.
· Demographics: Male, 28, East European
· Education: BBA, graduated in 2014 with GPA 3.54 from Top business school in my country.
· Other coursework or post-undergraduate education: ACCA member
· GMAT or GRE : 710 Q:50 V:36 IR:6 AWA: waiting for result
· Work experience (highlight amount of work experience, industries, roles, promotions, special accomplishments, international exposure): During senior year in university started internship in EY, after which I got the offer. During first year at EY, despite short time in the company I was in charge of two projects. Both of them I finished successfully so was promoted to next level with excellent reviews. I spent another year in EY working on the most complicated projects.
After EY, I moved to industry, specifically Energy. I spent almost one year in one of the biggest energy corporations, successfully implementing ERP introduction and reporting automation projects. After that got offer from another energy and utility company and joined the company as senior financial analyst. Only after 10 month was promoted to head of the analytical department. I have been in this position for 2.5 years building team of analysts from 2 to 11 and leading several major processes in the company.
· Extracurricular activities : During university I was actively involved in university life: volunteered with Marketing staff to promote our school. I was vice president of Cinema Club and member of Eurpian Youth Parlament. Additionally, I during last year of the school I was leader of freshmen students during their practical courses. After graduating I was participating twice a year in marathons for charity purposes.
· Post-MBA goals: I want to move my career on international level, my target industry is consulting. After several years of international experience I want to return to my home country and establish my own consulting company.
· Target schools: HBS, GSB, Booth, Kellogg, MIT, Barkley, Columbia, Wharton.
· Other information relevant to your profile: Considering retaking GMAT in August.
· Any specific questions you would like answered by our team: Is my profile competitive for targets schools? If not, what schools are more realistic?

You have basically selected the most competitive business schools in the US, and admissions there can be challenging for any candidate, even ones that meet the requirements on paper. That said, from the form you've submitted, you have several key ingredients for a successful application. On the professional experience front, it sounds like you have a great track record of increasing responsibility and promotions at work, both at EY and at your later employer. The schools are looking for evidence of your leadership and impact at work, so make sure to convey how you made a difference at your firm. Also - do you have global experience or have you always been within your home country? Work experience in other places can add to your candidacy. Your academic stats are generally a little bit below average for your target programs, but within the broader range...if you feel like you can do a retake on the GMAT, it might not be a bad idea, but a 50Q is excellent. In terms of community leadership, your more recent participation looks a little light, but if your fundraising for the marathons is significant, that can help. One plus is that you are likely to bring some geographic diversity coming from Eastern Europe. I think the elements that will be the wild card will be your essays and interviews, and those are hard to judge from the info you've submitted...but bringing a strong story and demonstrating fit for the programs will be important for the process.
I do recommend, however, broadening your list to include some schools where you are meeting or beating their academic markers of GMAT and GPA. To add to your list, I normally would start with asking more about your goals (where do you want to end up working geographically, what kind of consulting do you want) and your academic preferences (case method schools vs. more hands on programs) but some other names to consider might include schools like Duke, Darden, McCombs, Rice, Cornell, Georgetown.
