Hello alabhayaa,

Thanks for writing in.

Your Zomato tenure as well as the differentiated experience as a creative director will be value adding; however, the freelancing experience as well as the 2 switches in 3 years (basically, 3 profiles in 3 years) are things that will raise questions and require strong explanation.

If you are currently working as a Freelancer, it would be worthwhile to find yourself a full-time job that aligns well with the career goals you intend to put forth; business schools do not tend to prefer Freelancing as a career option.

To put things in a nutshell, your chances will be dependent on your GMAT score, the narrative your build around your professional career and future goals, and how well you justify/explain the components of your application that may are slightly questionable.

Should you feel the need for a detailed discussion, please feel free to get in touch with us.

All the best!

@alabhayaa - Your production company/ Zomato stints, and Extracurriculars present interesting angles.

Would like to understand your freelancing stint (motivation for transitioning from Zomato, how your freelancing career is shaping, have you registered a company, do you manage a team, key achievements, skillsets, etc.) to assess the professional arc better.

Likewise, post-MBA goals and motivation for an MBA are crucial angles to consider too.

Aiming for a good GMAT (ideally 685+ GFE) can help compensate for lower past academics.

Feel free to reach out for a deeper chat.

Arvind

Hi,

Aim for a high GMAT/GRE score. As for work experience, you have a variety of experiences, that may come across as a strength or a weakness. Focus on steering your story well and think about how these experiences have prepared you for your post MBA goals.

All the best!
