I think 685+ would be what you should target to eventually be able to reach a score of 665 or something as suggested by experts here.

Hello everyone. I am a 27 year old female.
10th - 91% (ICSE)
12th - 92% (CBSE)
Btech. - Mechanical (8.9 CGPA) State govt. college
Work Ex - 6 years in automotive R&D
Extracurriculars : Technical Papers, Patents in work, Played sports till 10th, member of multiple clubs in college.
GFE score - 605 (V78, Q84, DI78)
I took course from E-GMAT. I was scoring around 635(Avg) in mocks (both official and EGMAT) . I am very disappointed with my official GMAT score. Planning to retake in a month. Planning to purchase mocks official mocks 3,4,5,6 and DI from official gmat.
Can anyone guide me how much score is required for Indian B-Schools (ISB, IIMs) considering my profile?
Also how should i prepare for GMAT now considering only a month is left!

Hello B111997,

Thanks for writing in.

Your current score is low and to have a good chance at the top Indian programs, you must aim for a score in excess of 665 on the GMAT. Of course, the GMAT is only one component of your application and how well your frame the narrative in your essays will be equally crucial in determining your chances.

Hope this helps.

All the best!

Hi,

Your profile is good, and interesting.

A safe score would be 665+.  Having said that, if you manage to get your score to 645, you can still give the application your best effort.

Feel free to reach out to talk more: https://bit.ly/GM_AugAcd_Profile_Evaluation.

Best,
Karthik
