Hi everyone, 
 I’m considering applying to MBA programs and would love your expert opinions on my chances, given my profile. I’m also open to recommendations on the best-suited schools for my profile.

  Target: 700 - 720

Work Experience (3.5+ years in Information Technology)  
 
   Associate Solutions Engineer, Tech Licensing North Enterprise – Oracle(Current)

Developed and implemented  three Oracle APEX  applications for  Punjab National Bank , including an  Issue Tracker  that reduced technical issue resolution time by  50%  and a  Loan Retrieval application  that improved loan recovery rates by  40%  by enabling GPS-based agent navigation. The  Auditing Application  streamlined  15 processes , resulting in  4 outcomes .   
   Awarded ' Employee of the Quarter ' for  Digitalizing  in-house manual operations like visitor logs and interview processes using  Oracle APEX . Starting development of  5 more applications  at  Oriental Insurance  and  10 more applications  at  Honda Motors and Scooters India , increasing adoption for Oracle in the process.    
 
   Associate Solutions Engineer, SE Programmes Team – Oracle(One of the top companies in the IT industry)

Managed a team of  5 people  in an internal Hackathon -  Gradhacks , and created an Application using Oracle APEX for gauging employee performance in a team based on various metrics which was later adopted for internal use in the team.

   Research Intern, Delhi Technological University

Worked on a problem statement, ‘ Why people are violating social distancing rules and guidelines during the Covid-19 Pandemic ’ using Google Forms Survey. Identified the top 5 reasons which led  40% of the people  surveyed violate the rules. Skills which I learnt through this project are  Survey Design  and  Sampling Techniques .

Achievements & Leadership  
 
   Reach the Pre-Final Track(Track 2) in the e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC-2018)   conducted by IIT Bombay.

About  6000 teams  took part in this competition.  
   Track 1  comprises of completing a computer based test on programming and aptitude, clearing which students reach  Track 2  which comprises of  Stage 1  and  Stage 2 . This is the Stage in which my team was, herewe designed the PCB with LEDs to act as flowers and programmed the movement of quadcopter/drones which is supposed to act like bees.  
  Developed skills such as  Robot Operating System, V-Rep Robot Simulator, Python Programming, Circuit Designing and Rotational Dynamics .   
 
  Was Among the top  160 Finalists  of  Iken Scientifica 2009-10  a scientific and educational platform, where about  2,00,000 students  took part across India. In the process I learnt about various  scientific principles, problem solving skills and communication skills  through hands on experiments, puzzles and interaction with many contestants as well as the hosts respectively. This experience helped shape my decision on pursuing  engineering  further.  
   Video Editing Head, Elixir - Health Society, Delhi Technological University

Partnered with  Lenskart  and conducted a Free Eye Checkup for the students and invited celebrity  RJ Ronak  to further boost participation, thus, reaching out to about  2000 students . Students got free eyecheup and Lenskart got Free Promotion.   
   Created and edited video for  3 Health Events  of the society. Later shared it among the relevant students body groups. Thus, reaching out to more than  4,000 students  and increased awareness among them about healthy lifestyle.     
 
   Treasurer, Fun work  - Oracle Gurugram/Delhi NCR Office, Oracle

Managed yearly funds of about  2,000,000 rupees.     
   Successfully conducted the  Diwali  and the  Cultural events  with  40%  and  50%  employee participation.

Extracurricular & Volunteering  
 
   Volunteering through Work:

Conducted  Oracle APEX  sessions at universities reaching out to  100 students  in the process. The students were eager to learn more about this  LCNC tool  and relevant learning resources were shared afterwards.  
  Worked with  NGO We Care Foundation  in plating various saplings and teaching about the same to  30 students  of a government school in their grounds. The student learned about the nutritional values of various plants.  
  Organized a play session with  NGO Rahi  to teach and demonstrate to  30 Kids  from the neighboring slums the importance of various sports and have them play these sports with us. It was followed by a delicious meal for everyone. The children were excited to learn about these sports.   
 
   Volunteering at Work:

As a  Treasurer of the Fun work  Office committee , conducted the Diwali Event in the office. Negotiated with the  Food Vendor  and the  Decorations Vendor  to bring the cost down by  10%  and  15%  respectively.  
  Conducted a  Cultural Event  where I suggested moving the event from Farm House to a Club which resulted in not procuring  IPRS and PPL licenses  thus saving about  300,000 rupees  in the process.   
 
    Volunteering at University:

Conducted cold callings as a member of the  Public Relations Body  of Engifest(Cultural Fest of DTU) and Aahvaan(Sports Fest of DTU), reached out to about  200 colleges  across India, and invited participation from  25 colleges in our events .    
 
  Why I want an MBA 
 
  I have been working as solution engineer for quite some time now, here I get to solve customer business problem through technology but I want to widen my problem solving scope and industries hence I want to transition into consulting  . I plan to gain relevant knowledge and experience in the industry of interest then I will want to start my own venture with a product or service using the network and experience gained in consulting.

Post-MBA Goals  
 
  I aim to transition into  management consulting    in the  Top 3 , in the  Natural resources and consumer goods space .

Target Schools  
 
  Recommend schools based on my target GMAT score and career goals.

Main Questions:  
 
  With a 700 - 720 GMAT Focus Edition Score, what are my realistic chances at the top 100 schools going by the QS Global MBA Ranking?  
  Would I be able to compensate with strong essays, LORs, and my unique profile in addition to improving my GMAT score to 700 - 720? Could quants certifications, and switching and working in a Business Analyst profile at Oracle help my case?  
  Are there any other strong consulting/strategy schools that might be a great fit for me?

Strengthening your GMAT score (ideally 720+), securing strong essays and LORs, and showcasing quant readiness through certifications or a Business Analyst role could help mitigate concerns.
