So in short, my company will cover 75% of my MBA education, however i'm at a dilemna on which program to choose- McCombs via Houston or RIce MBAP. I want a program that will allow me to get into MBB/MC with ease. One thing that is holding me back about McCombs is the dubious teaching quality when learning via Houston vs. Austin. Please help

I'm not as familiar with Rice's MBA program, but I had several friends in the undergraduate program who got jobs at MBB. I can't say the same for UT / McCombs, though I didn't go there for undergraduate.

It would be EXTREMELY difficult to get into MBB from McCombs or Jones PT. I believe only Bain recruits at McCombs, and it's more for the South American offices. Unless you know someone who pulls some recruiting strings at MBB, it would be difficult to even get an interview. The PT recruiting would be more weaker. If you just want to get into any management consulting, it won't be that difficult. There are MC firms out of the wood-works these days. The quality of the projects, and exit-options would be significantly diminished. Personally, and from talking with close-friends in MBB, the exit options aren't what MBB would lead you to think they are.
