Wow. Can you share your approach for v47? It may benefit students on this forum immensely

Besides, I see no reason for you to retake

Congrats bluechipmonks on 760!

It is an amazing score.

IMO Q48 doesn't matter. I suggest you concentrate only on your applications.

I got Q48 (67 percentile) V47 (99 percentile), 760 total
I am quite happy with the total score, but the Quant percentile bothers me...
QMAT score tables online usually say that Q48 equates to 70~80 percentile, but mine is far lower, so I’m even little worried that 48 itself is an error :/
I’mtargeting M7 (Stanford GSB)
i have an average GPA, and am a Asian female (underrepresented population i hope?) in tech industry.
Should I retake?

The Quant percentiles seem to be under quite some pressure nowadays.
A Q47 equated to a 61th percentile for me.

I also do not think that your quant score makes it necessary to retake the test.
A 760 should be 99th percentile overall if I am right, isn´t it?

Cheers,
Chris

I would love to share my approach, but I'm not sure if it'll be helpful at all
My first official practice test verbal score was 38, and then it hovered around 40 for about a month.
I had no problem with RC, and some easy CR and SC questions, but struggled when encountered with tougher questions.
So I started doing the Kaplan Prep practice sets (I did 4 out of 6), which are annoyingly difficult in verbal. I managed to get 40s consistently on Kaplan tests, but I think these difficult questions helped.
They are super hard, even the RC questions, where I had no problem initially. Especially in CR, I found it nearly impossible to find the right answer. But as I got used to that level of difficulty, official questions seemed all very clear-cut, straight forward.

Yes, 99th overall. Yeah, I hear there's serious inflation on Quant percentile. Thank you!

Hi bluechipmonks,

760 with Q48 is an awesome score! Remember, Q48 is only 3 points below the top quant score of Q51, so you are in a great spot. Good luck with your applications!
