Hey Kelzie01

We can't comment for other tests but do note that no test prep company's algorithm will exactly match the real thing. The best we can do is get close.

You can always take a free GMAT PILL practice test here complete with detailed performance and timing analytics: https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... ctice-test

In terms of our scoring, many of our students report scores that are +/- 30 points from their actual GMAT test and so are a relatively good indicator of their performance. That said, no practice test can perfectly replicate the actual score algorithm, but this is quite close.

Mate,

MGMAT's Q part is tougher than the GMAT Prep's. Furthermore, I have noticed that GMATPill is somehow tougher. I got 43 on Q, while I score 47-49 at gmatclub's quant. The main idea is that you do not have to worry about the score. Think about the mistakes you made, and how you can improve yourself so that to no longer make those mistakes.

Yeah, it's just a psychological blow, you know? I keep telling myself that I have 2.5 months to go before I take the exam but it was still a sucky day yesterday!!

It happens, I too have days when ,at quant, I just simply suck, and can't solve any damn question. Never let yourself down of the results, know that you can, and try your best every time :)

Hi Kelzie01,

Since you've been studying for just 2 weeks, you shouldn't get too down on yourself. Many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) on their studies before they hit their 'peak' scores, and you still have lots of time left in your Study Plan - this is meant to say that you'll almost certainly improve as you get deeper into your studies. Ultimately, a Q43 and a Q39 are not that different performance-wise (it's just a few more correct/incorrect answers in specific 'places' during the section). The review of this recent CAT (and ALL CATs) is essential though. By defining WHY you got questions wrong, you can do some focused practice and hone your skills. You should also feel free to post any questions that you got wrong into the appropriate Forums here - the Experts and other Users will likely be able to provide some perspective into the various ways that you can solve the question.

You can also feel free to contact me directly with any questions that you have.
