hello everyone,

I need advise regarding quant preperation. Currently, i am stuck at Q-44 and need to get atleast Q-49. I have already prepared using e-gmat material(6 months). Even though my verbal improved a lot, i can't say the same for quant.
i am willing to appear for actual exam by nov end. i have looked into some options and Math revulotion caught my attention. How is the the course for someone like me (non-enginering indian student) to improve my score? Are there any other more suitable options?
i have already tried to improve my scores by giving mock tests (gmat club, mgmat, gmat prep) but as someone already said before: its like treating fever with a thermometer.
i would be grateful for the insights.

Thanks & Best Regards
kumar utkarsh

In addition to the aforesaid points mentioned by other users, I would like to mention that what you said is correct (i.e. i have already tried to improve my scores by giving mock tests (GMAT CLUB, MGMAT,GMAT prep) but as someone already said before: its like treating fever with a thermometer.) I was wondering if you are using these mocks to find out the areas in which you are regularly performing badly or are you getting 700 level questions wrong or you are lagging behind on timining.

You should use the results of your mock to identify the pain points and then work on it diligently. Lay a strong foundation by reading the theory and by doing practice sets in timed conditions.

All the best!!

Please do not use aLL cApS unless you want to get a personal welcome from a moderator :)

Take a trial of the Math Revolution and the Target Test Prep - both specialize in the quant courses.
https://gmatclub.com/forum/free-trials-196374.html

They are quite different. You may like one better than the other.
P.S. GMAT Club tests are best used after you hit Q45, or Q47 ideally.

I think you should give a try with Target Test Prep. I find the course really good because the explanation of every question is really good and the way they build up the concept is awesome!

Hi Kumar Utkarsh,

Thanks for having an interest in our product!! Our course is designed for non-engineering major to improve their quant score. On average, if lower than 45 points, our students improve +5 points on the quant and have about 10 minutes to spare before the math section ends. The best way to approach quant is to see logic in the test. Both our Variable Approach and IVY approach teach students how to see logic in the question to get the right answer while saving time. Since our materials are categorized by different math subjects, you can begin on the subjects that you need to improve your skills on.

Check out our post on how to get a high score on GMAT quant.
https://gmatclub.com/forum/the-ultimate ... 09801.html

Also check out our free trial pack and free video lessons on our site at mathrevolution.com See if our materials work for you! While there, don’t forget to try our free diagnostic test!!

Please let us know if you have further questions.
You can reach us at info@mathrevolution.com

Success is within your reach,
Good luck!

Hi kumar utkarsh,

"Review" is an exceptionally important part of the GMAT training process; your ability to define WHY you're getting questions wrong is essential to defining the areas that you need to work on (and the specific things that you need to 'fix'). As such, I'd like to know a bit more about your last FULL-LENGTH CAT. While a full Mistake Tracker would provide a lot more information, there are some basic questions that you should be able to answer (and the more EXACT you can be with your answers, the better):

After reviewing the Quant section of this recent CAT, how many questions did you get wrong....
1) Because of a silly/little mistake?
2) Because there was some math that you just could not remember how to do?
3) Because the question was too hard?
4) Because you were low on time and had to guess?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
