Hi
Vinodhini1803,
12 minutes for 7 questions is a reasonable time and not something you need to worry about per se. On the actual GMAT, it is unlikely that you will encounter 1 passage with 7 questions.
Here are some debriefing sessions with students who reached a score of V40+. You can hear from them how they overcame their challenges to reach their target score.
There are various ways to reach a V40 score depending upon your strengths and weaknesses. While it is not required to mark every question correctly, you can not skip (randomly mark) 7 questions assuming you have terrible luck that day and all of those 7 turn out wrong. Also, would you like to leave such an important test to luck?
I would like to invite you to try a SIGma-X mock test. These tests are designed to give you not only an accurate assessment of your potential GMAT score but also a very detailed report of your performance. You will be able to pin-point your strengths and weaknesses and make a precise plan for the remaining of your preparation.
Follow the steps mentioned below to take SIGma-X mock test:
Once you take the test, you can write to our team at
support@e-gmat.com for a detailed analysis of your performance and a plan to reach your target GMAT score.

Thank you Aditi. This sounds like a good plan. I will take a sigma X mock test today. I will be skipping 4 answers and then last three I will attempt. thats my strategy. However what you said is right. Under time pressure, I may get all wrong.
