If you think you can get 45+ on quant and get close to the same on verbal retaking it could be worth your time. That's at least a 30 point jump and will take you from below average to above average at your target schools.

looking at your practice scores its obvious you underperformed. However, retake the test only if those scores came under strict test like conditions. if you can bump up Q and maintain your verbal or maybe a slight downgrade in verbal should be fine ...from what I know, Q scores do matter in the scheme of things.

my 2 cents.

Hi!
That’s great that you were able to increase in score- congrats! A retake is good for students who are both far and close to their GMAT range but this will take dedication and further practice. If you have it in you to do so then go for it! I also suggest checking out our blog that provides a bit more detail on how business schools review multiple scores. https://econgm.at/Uy2w7i

Thanks for the help. I'm going to stick with the 700. I think the extra 20 or 30 hours i'd put into retaking the GMAT would be better spent on the essays. I'm not going into consulting or finance so hopefully that isn't a major issue.

Hi again,
Glad I was able to help a bit. A 700 is a phenomenal score to have achieved and you should definitely have success getting into schools. If you ever have any future questions in regards to this or any other GMAT related queries, please feel free to ask!
