Thanks,
Vikas.

Dear Vikas,
Firstoff, let me say that I like your goals, and I truly hope that you WILL be able to make those life changes for the lives of people. And I hope you will be able to convince the AdComs that you are ready and able to do so.

Overall, your profile is quite good - you have an excellent GMAT a very good GPA from a recognized top Indian school, and even better, plenty of REAL leadership.

With all that, I think that with a good application and a solid story, your school list is reasonable.

The main thing you need to work on is your story, i.e. your goals. Your short term goals are clear, but right now your long-term goals are a bit too vague for me. Now one thing that is great is that you have a lot of good volunteer work in your past - so I feel like you should be able to draw on that to come up with some more concrete goals. I mean, when you write "providing solution to social problems such as sanitation, education, health etc," it seems to be a bit too much, and too vague.. but for example if you were to write "I want to brink clean drinking water to all of India" by limiting the goal (even if it is vast and challenging) we are able to see things more concretely. So think about things and work on your story a bit more.

Otherwise, things look good!
Best,
JF

Thanks JF,

I value your input extremely, and wonder if you can please guide me to freeze my target B-school list. is the list that I am targeting is OK or shall I replace some of these with other more befitting B-Schools.

Thanks again,
VK
If you are proposing to apply to all the schools on the list then I think it's a good one. Yes, you could change some schools with others, but I think that is more of a question of fit and personal preference (of school size location, weather, teaching style, etc.) than anything else,

Best,
JF
