Male, 10th (CBSE) 9.8, 12th (CBSE) 86%,
B. Tech (7.81 CGPA) (GGSIP University)
MBA(Business Economics) DU South Campus (7.5 CGPA).
GMAT FE 675
Work ex: 3.5 years. Currently working as Analyst/Consultant for an MNC. I work with a Banking client in Africa (9 countries).I have worked with Credit risk team and presently working with there Fraud Analytics team. My job role include monthly reporting, adhoc analysis , model development(worked on 2 models) etc.
I have received one promotion till now.
I take part in company backed CSR events. I also take part in my local cleaning and plantation drives. I have successfully participated in many half and full marathon.
What are my chances, should I attempt GMAT again?
B. Tech (7.81 CGPA) (GGSIP University)

Strong academic consistency + dual postgrad (MBA + B.Tech) places you in a rare quant-plus-business bucket. However, a question comes up immediately as to why do you even need a 2nd MBA? While the answer is obvious in your head that you want a better pedigree, in the application you should communicate how you have realized skill and knowledge gaps even after pursing an MBA.
Your Africa exposure across nine banking markets is a huge differentiator. ISB loves candidates who’ve operated outside India’s typical context. However, you need to showcase how the cross-geography exposure has helped you in not only being more holistic at work but also made you empathetic to different workstyles, cultures etc.
Your role sounds execution-heavy unless framed well. Monthly reporting won’t impress them; model ownership, risk impact, and cross-country influence will. Leadership signals are thin for 3.5 years. While promotion helps, but stories must show initiative, not routine. Your narrative shouldn’t come across as “analyst doing reporting.”
If you frame yourself as an “emerging-market fraud & credit specialist,” highlight model builds, regional insights, and behavior traits from marathons + CSR, your story becomes mission-driven. This can help you in proving that you are an academic, professional and cultural fit to the cohort.
As far as GMT FE of 675 is concerned, while the more the merrier, this is a competitive score (couple of applicants I worked with in R1 this year got admit with this score) to apply to ISB provided you can come up with a strong arc.
