Thanks for responding.

I need this for marking the timing benchmarks as suggested in the blog post below, it is a very efficient way which does the task of letting me know at every 8 minutes or so whether I am lagging or rushing.

It is better to confirm before you start your exam. I did it in my exam. I even got a new pad ready on my desk while i was eating my chocolate in 8 minutes break :D because i requested the guy to do so each time in both the breaks.

I think it depends on the test center, but at the test center I was at, they don't have any problems at all.

I have taken 4 times GMAT at 3 different test centers, in 2 different countries, and after every single section, I asked for new scratch paper - nobody told me anything about not finishing the one I had. Moreover, everytime, after i finished a section, I was asked whether I want my scratch pad to be replaced.
