It has been a roller coaster ride for the last 6 months or so. Office, Business Travel, GMAT, Applications, Essays, Interviews, Team Exercise (Ross exclusive :-)) and then personal commitments. Wow!

Good Luck for the Ross Week everyone! It was a pleasure to interact in this thread and had a wonderful time meeting 70-75 highly intellectual people at the Ross Team Exercise in New Delhi.

Hi all,

Wanted to calm myself by doing some last minute calcuations for the R2 admits. During group exercise in Delhi, I estimated that about 10 % of the admits are from India (that makes it close to 40 students). Assuming equal distribution in R1 and R2, 20 seats are remaining in R2. I saw about 50 students in the group exercise in Delhi. So the conversion rate is around 40 %.

Hi SVDMBA,
Total class size: 450
Yield: 50%
Total Admission offers: 450/0.5 = 900
Total Indians in class = 11% of 450 = 50
Assumption 1: Considering same yield for both US and International students i.e. 50%
Total Admission offers to Indian candidates: 50/0.5 = 100
Assumption 2: Equal number of offers in Round 1 and Round 2
Offers to be made in Round 2 = 50
Total number of candidates came for Team Exercise = 70-75
Assumption 3: Considering same number of students did not opt for Team exercise.
Total interviewed = 150

Chances of selection = 50/150 = 33.33%

I am not surprised. Ross only fell in the rankings because of that international loan incident that screwed up their yield. They've historically been top ten, and only in recent years fell below that.

Does anyone know if Ross is going to start calling R2 admits tomorrow? This is from the Director's Blog from their website:

"We'll start making admitted student calls in the middle of the following week (for those who like exact dates - March 12 for domestic candidates and March 13 for international candidates)."

This is great to hear! Ross continues to get the recognition it rightfully deserves for being a top school. Just striking distance of the top 10 now! I can't wait to be attending there in the fall!

I submitted R3, late GMAT test date as well. Good luck, hopefully Ross still has some seats left for us.

FROM Ross (Michigan) Admissions Blog by Soojin Kwon: The area code is 734
I’m guessing that Round 2 applicants are feeling nervous excitement (or maybe just nervous) with decisions to be released this week. One of our MBA2s (who will be graduating this year) posted on Facebook: “Is it bad that I'm just as excited for Round 2 admissions to go out as prospectives are? I'm still following Soojin's blog.” If you’re like me (with my younger son’s application to middle school), you’ll be checking your email and phone constantly. It’s not like the message will come any sooner because you’re staring at your screen or hitting the refresh button, or that the...

So no call today and there's no chance of a yes (outside of the waitlist process)? This is going to be a long freaking day.

I don't think that's quite right. Calls start mid-day today (EST) and from what I understand, will go through until Friday at noon at which time all applicants' status will be updated online. In other words, you can hear anytime in the next 48 hours. The only exception is international applicants, who won't start to hear until tomorrow.
