I was accepted by both Rochester(Simon) Master Marketing Program (With $$$) and Rotman MBA without $ starting in September 2015.
My background was MIS and plan my post-graduate career in marketing, entrepreneur, innovation, consulting or family business.
Rochester provide the program upgrade option - maintain the GPA above 3.1 for the first year, and I can switch from Master program to MBA program.
Since I come from Asia and want to work in North America (Canada and the US are both fine by me),
Any suggestion for those two school?

I talked with friends who studied at both schools and here are my research.
Network - Rotman MBA has about 350~400 students, Simon has about 60~80 students in its MBA class. Rotman definitely better.
Career Location - Rotman is situated in Downtown Toronto - core of Canadian business, Simon is at a relatively small town in New York state - a lot of networking and hiring happens off campus. It depends on where you want to end up.
Curriculum - I'd say a secured MBA offer would be better than a switch from MMarketing to MBA. But that's also my biased opinion based on my risk-averse nature.
In terms of your post-graduate career, I think you really gotta narrow the options down to really focus on what you can get most out of a MBA degree.

I have a different situation here although with a few similarities.
I applied for the MBA programs at Rotman and Schulich in the last round for international applicants. I recently got selected for the MBA program at Rotman but haven't heard from Schulich yet (20 days). I believe Schulich is going to be a NO then.
My past experience has a mix of HR and Sales. Although, I haven't completely decided yet but my post-MBA interest is Marketing/Strategy/Consulting. Now, here is the confusion. I have been hearing that marketing people should prefer Schulich over Rotman. Considering the fact that I did not get into Schulich, I have nothing to choose but Rotman.
Since, it is a very big investment for me, I am not sure whether I should accept my Rotman offer (expiring next week) or wait and apply to Schulich later this year in the first round.
How do marketing professionals do at Rotman? Do they get good placements in leading MNCs like Unilever. P&G etc?
Please help.
