Is this usage correct ?

Expensive hobbies and crushing debt has made life difficult for the actor.

since this is a sentence joined by "and", hence its a plural,
I think it should be "have" instead of " has "

use of  has  is incorrect here. It's a plural subject and hence the helping verb should be  Have  here.

You are emphasising on two things : Expensive Hobbies,Crushing Debt

These two things are separate so usage of Have is correct and not has( singular in nature )

Meaning:-
Two things have made life difficult for the actor.
1. Expensive Hobbies.
2. Crushing Debt.
