Hi Ver23,

You ask some rather broad questions - and depending on your current 'ability level' (as well as your Overall Goal Score), you might need more than just some tips and an additional week of training time to get to the point that you can consistently hit your Goal Score. Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Score Improvement Tips for RC & CR- Last 8 days to GMAT.

6-8 errors happening in RC (alarming) Due to which overall score is affected. This is inspite of practicing 1-2 Passages on daily basis. I’m becoming blank when taking mocks, especially in RC. Tips / strategy for the last week would be really helpful.

In CR: errors vary from 2-5. Any tips here.

Look forward to your response. TIA?
Hi Ver23,

It may help to slow down a bit, maybe make notes as well. However, this isn't something I'd recommend you try in the last week. Instead, try to ensure that you're well-rested before your exam, and execute your timing strategy well.

All the best.

Hi Ver23.

One key thing you can do is learn to regain your focus when you become blank when taking tests. Many people blank out when taking the GMAT, and blanking out for a moment or two is no big deal if you have learned to pull it together and focus on the question in front of you.

For CR, and for verbal in general, be super careful and intense. Even people who super strong in verbal can easily get questions incorrect if they slack off at all. It's so easy to fall for one of the trap choices. So, being super careful and intense can make a big difference in your verbal score.

Also, the tips in this post may help you to improve your accuracy and hit your score goal.
