Recently completed practice test from GMATprep.
Please see below score
Exam 1 - 470(Q 42, V 15) Feb - 22nd 2018
Exam 2 - 480(Q 43, V15) March - 21st 2018

I know lately i am not studying much because of my full time job. But this score is really bad, I don’t know from where to start in verbal.
Please guide me. Thank you.
I am planning to take exam in Mid May 2018.

First of all i appreciate you for seeking information/help needed for your Prep. GMAT Club is a treasure trove and its up to us to find what need and you have taken the right step. I will share with you the information i received from those who helped me in my preparation.

The first step is to get the foundation steady. You need to make sure you are good with all the topics tested in the GMAT verbal section. The second step is to cement your understanding and learn how to tackle GMAT exam. You need to understand in what ways GMAT would test you. You need to use the official guide extensively to get the handle of the verbal exams.

The final step is to write Verbal practice tests in timed environment. We might be good in individual sections, but when we get questions from all sections in sequence that might unsettle us during exam. You need to be prepared for the exam.

First step is to plan your study. Luckily GMAT Club have all the necessary resources to guide us, start with the link given below

I personally follow the below given verbal study plan. This plan had helped me improve my score

I would suggest you to start with RC section. RC is the toughest to improve and it takes time. All those who scored a very high GMAT score would advise you to practice atleast a RC passage every day.

This post is the best post on RC i have seen
https://gmatclub.com/forum/guide-to-rea ... 21112.html

Key Pointers:
1. Follow the verbal experts in Verbal forum. We can learn a lot from following the solutions provided by the experts.

2. Look for inspirational debrief's posted in GMAT Club. The candidates who have scored a good score on verbal will usually include the strategy they followed to achieve high score. There are many really insipirational posts in gmat club that includes strategies to improve from V20 to V40 for example.

3.Download the GMAT Club grammer book. Its a very good resource and also free. You can download from here https://gmatclub.com/forum/ultimate-gma ... 33952.html

All the very best for your preparation.

Focus on improving each individual section first. Right now you have a lot of room for improvement - so focus by section - such as SC, or CR, etc - then when you get better, mix up the questions.

Also, consider what your best learning style is. We offer video-based lessons - so take a look at this video to see if it suits your learning style:
