Hi all 
It is now one week since I got a 600 score in my first attempt in the official GMAT, I feel that I can share my story and ask for advice before retaking the test again. I must admit that I feel very disappointed with my score. I was aiming to a 700+ when I started my study. My goal is to get in IESE or INSEAD, and since my age will be above the average I think a strong GMAT will somehow counterbalance this and some other weaknesses in my application.
Lets start from the beginning of my journey, I started around february getting familiar with the GMAT through the Manhattan SC and CR books. Soon, I realized that self-study was not really my thing.
As most of you I do have a pretty tight schedule, no surprises. So in May I signed up for the Economist course as a new way to prepare the GMAT. Economist together with gmatclub (free) is what I have mainly used for preparation.
About the Economist course, I am not either very satisfied in general. Having completed all the theory, I believe the course it is ok, but I wouldn't say very good. It provided me with a strong training for the quant area. Not being that good in the verbal part, which is my weakest area. The main disadvantage I found during the Economist course is that due to the 'let the algorithm decide what is best for you', I did not practice SC for a very very long time and therefore, I arrived to the test with a lack of confidence in that part of the verbal. Something that a month and half before the test, I think I was pretty decent at.
I am gonna take the GMAT again mid April '17. This will give me 3 entire months to study. Since the next 3/4 weeks I will be travelling home for Christmas and dealing with some deadlines at work. To keep myself active I have started to read the economist magazine (a bit ironic) to improve my RC.
And besides that, from mid January to mid April I am thinking to follow a new course to rise my score. However, I might need someone else opinion on that because I nailed down to the following options, but now it is complicated to decide:
option 1: clubmba + e-gmat verbal
option 2: clubmba + magoosh
option 3: clubmba + empowerGmat
Below I include my results from the previous tests.
I can see I did not face it the right way and I was missing also an errorLog etc etc
16th Oct - Sim test #1 Economist -> 640 Q49 V30 IR2
22nd Oct - Sim test #2 Economist -> 670 Q41 V42 IR5
5th Nov - Sim test #3 Economist -> 650 Q48 V32 IR2

As the last question, does anyone know where can I find more CAT test to take since mba[.]com it was a bit unclear to me.

Hi,
Looks like you have a good handle on the quant section! I did not take any prep courses myself, but I have heard a lot of good things about e-GMAT for verbal improvement. I did try a couple of their free seminars and they had some good tips in those. I would suggest you try out their free trial to see if it would be something to pay for. Veritas prep often has 6 or 7 CATs for about $20 and their verbal sections are quite challenging compared to the real GMAT. These were good practice for me when I was preparing but I would not use them to estimate your real score. The GMATPrep CATs are the best indicators of your actual score.
If you haven't already, order your detailed score report from GMAC to get a better idea on where you made your errors. This will help you narrow down the areas in verbal where you need to focus your efforts.

Try and use other CATs for practice and GMATPrep CATs to estimate your actual GMAT score.

It seems I will try the e-GMAT for verbal then, and buy it if good.
My strategy for this month I am gonna be travelling is to read, read and read to grow in RC. In addition, to maintain my level in quant I will try to do some Manhattan advance quant for their book. In a month from now, I will have 3 months to study and I will be ready to go all in with the verbal.
About the CATs, I wrongly assumed I was getting 2 new test for each registration to the official GMAT
Through your link I found out that I can get to packs of exams, which means a max of 4 test. This plus Veritas should be more than enough all the way to April.
I did not consider the detailed GMAT score at all but sounds like a good way to focus on my study again. I will go for it as well.
Something I mentioned before and I think it was a big mistake its not to use an errorLog. Did you use one of those during your study?
