Appeared in GMAT and Scored 610. Q 47 V 27.

If you feel your fundamentals are solid, consider working on your solving approach. May boost your score a bit. Had a 6-hour student who went from a V31 to a V40. Perhaps work with a study buddy with strong Verbal skills to see how they approach the section.

All the best. Some quick Verbal tips on the GMAT Knight website you may find helpful.

Hi,

My name is Rohit and I appeared in GMAT on Friday the 20th Jan.
For my preparations which I commenced in Jun 22, I had enrolled for e-gmat. Having a hectic work schedule, there were a lot of breaks in between. However, I completed the course in Dec 22 having taken 2 extensions on the course. My GMAC test results are as follows:-
Test 1: 27 Sep 22 (in between my preparations) - 640 Q48 V28
Test 2: 12 Dec 22 (course almost completed) - 660 Q48 V33

I booked the exam for 20 Jan 23 here.
Did multiple Quant and Verbal Practice Exams from GMAT Club.
Highest Score in Quant - 48, Verbal 35.

Attempted Sigma Mock X tests - Scored 680 Q47 V35

Had a break in Jan for 10-12 days due to some medical issue with my wife. Was about to abandon the Final Exam. Thankfully, when it got sorted, resumed practice on 13th Jan.

Scored 680 in GMAC Practice Test 3 Q50 V31.
Scored 710 in GMAC Practice Test 4 Q49 V37.

Appeared in GMAT and Scored 610. Q 47 V 27.
Whole world has come crashing down.

Need some guidance from experts to work on my Verbal and strategy to crack the exam. I am sure of my capabilities and am sanguine that with correct guidance can crack it with 700 plus score. My ESR attached.

Thanks.
Rohit

Guess you are unable to attach your ESR here. Send it over pm to help me understand what went wrong during the actual test. I will be able to guide you better thereafter.

Hi Rohit,

I am sorry to hear that you did not score well. I know it must be frustrating to see your score drop. But if you commit yourself to improving, you can do this.

To help you with your improvement plan, your mentor, Dhruv, has already reached out to you over email with an invite for a one-on-one strategy discussion. Please respond to his mail and share your ESR so that he can guide you with your next steps and get you all the help you need, especially guidance from our team of resident Verbal Experts!

I am glad to hear that you have faith in your abilities; you can definitely improve your GMAT score! Here is an example of a student who bounced back after a bad attempt and ended up scoring a 740!

Hope this helps.

Best,
Vaibhav

Wondering if this disrupted your momentum, contributing to a low score Rohit..what say?

Hi rohitprakash

Unable to find your ESR attached here. As you have an ESR, I can definitely help you in analyzing it. We can get in touch over a zoom conference call and we can analyze it together. This way we can figure out what exactly your weak areas are and then make a plan of action. Feel free to reach out to me on DM for taking it further.
