Scored a 570 after 10 days of basic revision. Is it a good start?

Hi,

I scored 570. 39 in Quant and 29 in Verbal. I'm a non-native English speaker and aim to get to 700+ 
I have also booked the test for 15th June 2023.

May want to check a scoring grid to see the various section scores that can potentially combo 700+. Fair to say two consecutive fresh Official Mocks that hit your target score is a positive sign you will do something similar on an actual exam. 570 is a pretty typical starting point, and score increases of 130+ points are also normal. So, you should get to 700+ with a normal amount of prep.

It may take more than two months for you to do so though. So, don't get hung up on June 15th and rush your prep because, if you do, you may find that you take longer than you would otherwise to get to your score goal.

Hi oshinwaves,

Considering that you did just some basic review for 10 days, a 570 is a solid initial Score (the Average Score on the Official GMAT hovers around 550 most years). That having been said, many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores - and a 2nd Test Date on June 15th might not give you enough time to learn and hone all of the skills needed to score 700+. You don't have to decide on whether to reschedule or not just yet, but that's something you should keep in mind going forward.

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) How many hours have you put in so far?
2) What study materials have you used?
3) Did you take any CATs/mocks? If you did, then how did you score (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for each)?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
