Jaidee
Hi Everyone,
I have my interview scheduled with Mark Vandenburg this coming week. Any pointers would be really helpful? Anything advised to be prepared for? (questions, interviewer style, etc.)
Thanks!!!
Jaidee - congrats on the interview call!
Mark is part of Ivey's Career Management team. It is common for Canadian MBA programs to have career-team professionals conduct the interviews.
I suggest preparing both for the 'fit' and 'business' angles, although the interview would likely incline more towards fit. Have strong and concise answers to: why MBA, why Ivey, why now, why you (vs others), past experiences/ achievements, strengths/ weaknesses, post-MBA career goals. Given that Mark is in the career team, he might expect a nuanced response to the "what are your goals post-MBA" question.
Also research more about Ivey and their specific offerings that can help you achieve your career goals. Reading up on the current affairs of Canada and any recent business case-studies in the region would help too.
For more details, tips and mistakes to avoid in MBA interviews, refer to my recent article:

All the best!
