I am confused between Options C & E.
While I understand the explanation above, I do have some points to add here.
Option C speaks only about larger sea animals and in some way is limiting the domain of the option here. Also , how does one define the word directly here?
The argument does talk about "rest of the food chain". Can I not infer from this that the "rest of the food chain" is talking about all organisms. Infact, it is possible that there are other animals which feed on fish and seabirds and so on.
I think neither of the options are completely correct here. Other views are welcome.

What you're saying makes complete sense tbh, but when you're down to 2, The word 'ALL' is why I dropped (E), the question is more concerned about declines in 'seabird and fish populations', YOU CANNOT INFER THAT it'll affect all organisms.
If you had to pick on out of C and E sea ties back closely with the conclusion, 'affect larger 'SEA ANIMALS', it is clear that FISH and SEABIRD are sea animals. The entire prompt goes around discussing what happens in the sea.

This is an official LSAT question (LSAT test 32). However, option C has been incorrectly captured here. The original option has "Indirectly". Also logically, if A leads to B and B leads to C, A indirectly causes C. Can you please correct accordingly.
