Hi there!
I've been accepted to EDHEC's Master in Management program - Business Management track, with the opportunity to apply for the Eiffel Scholarship. They would offer a 30% reduction in tuition fee in case I do not get the Eiffel Scholarship.
I am writing on this forum to know/ask for anyone with experience (first-hand, or second-hand via friends/colleagues/network) about the reputation of Edhec in France, and more importantly how well the course is.
Definitely, I liked the course structure as it allows one to gain two degrees (MiM and one MSc in chosen area of interest), further it has the opportunity to get an apprenticeship. However, if anyone here has any informed opinion about the same, please feel free to share! It'll be of great use to me.
Thanks a ton in advance.
Hey Divsu
E win I am applying for the same intake And I also have the same query. Btw how was your interview ? Like what did they ask ?
Posted from my mobile deviceHi Praneeth!
Apologies for the late reply.
About the interview:
Its not a personal interview but rather a Kira interview. Search it up on google.
You'll be presented with a question and given around 1:30 mins to prepare for it and then the video would record you for the next 3 mins. Five questions, and they're totally random. For me they were about challenging situations I've faced, what is success to me, what matters the most to me, and well I do not remember the last two questions at the moment. However, if you know what you're doing and why you're doing it, I don't know it'll be tough.
About the college:
To be very honest, after having spoken to multiple alumni, current students, as well as students from other colleges in France that I know personally, the general insight is that the college is great. It is #4 in France (after HEC, ESSEC, and ESCP). You'll get all the opportunities you'd need to make it worth it, but ultimately its on you to utilise them.
Most of the students in their gap year take on internships in English speaking countries, and the career services are a great plus of the college.
As is for any college in France, not knowing French is a major disadvantage. Further, in comparison to other schools (ESSEC/ESCP), Edhec is less international. The major nationalities in the MiM program are that of Indians, Chinese and French students.
Also, only a limited number (ig 5) of clubs are open to international students and so there's a little bit of competition for that.
Moreover, the apprenticeship track is not open for international students (unlike ESSEC's MiM). It is only for French nationals.
Overall career prospects are good. You can always search up on LinkedIn and speak to people directly too. It's been the most helpful for me.
You can drop me a PM directly in case of any questions. However, I would like to inform that I am not taking up the offer as I got an admit from a consulting specific program that I wanted to get into. At the same time, I would like to mention again, EDHEC is a good school and you can definitely go for it.
