Came across one of the examples which i want more clarity on :
As per the concept tested according to e-gmat, if an action is continuing we use present perfect but shouldn't it be present perfect continuous.
I have been playing cricket for three years now. - I still play cricket and i started it three years back.
I have played cricket for three years. - I played it sometime in the past.
I have played cricket for three years now - I believe this does not make sense.
Please correct me if i am wrong.

Your interpretations are not very accurate.
I have played crickets for three year is not equal to I played crickets for three years.
You might want to refer to e-gmat lesson you were taking, to understand the rules better.
