Hi rhtksingh,
GMAC has publicly stated that the Official Score that you earn on Test Day is within +/- 30 points of actual ability. Assuming a similar 'swing' in how your CATs function, and that you took these CATs in a realistic fashion, your 2 CAT score results show that you essentially performed the same each time (+/- a few points). Since your Quant Scaled Score is so high, the bulk of the missing points that you're looking for are going to be found in the Verbal section. With a V23, you're missing out on significant points in all 3 major Verbal categories (SC, RC and CR).
Thankfully, you're closer to your overall Score Goal than you probably realize, so you won't have to become that much stronger in every Verbal area to hit that goal. However, you clearly will have to learn and practice some new Verbal Tactics, since "your way" of dealing with the Verbal section seems to have you 'stuck' in the low-V20s. While you could potentially hit your score goal in a month, having more study time than that would likely increase your chances.
When you took your CATs:
1) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT each time (including the Essay and IR sections)?
2) Did you take them at home?
3) Did you take them at the same time of day as when you plan to take your Official GMAT?
4) Did you ever do ANYTHING during your CATs that you couldn't do on Test Day (pause the CAT, skip sections, take longer breaks, etc.)?
5) Did you ever take a CAT more than once? Had you seen any of the questions BEFORE?
Going forward:
1) How many hours can you consistently study each week?
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
3) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
